Table for one – almost half of meals in the UK are eaten alone

A new study reveals the lonely eating habits of the UK, finding that 34 per cent of us can go a whole week without eating a meal alongside someone else.  The research, commissioned by The Big Lunch, also shows that a third of weekday evening meals are eaten in isolation, and the average adult eats 10 meals out of 21 alone every week.

Churchill launches search for Guardians of the School Crossing

Motor insurance specialist, Churchill Insurance, has launched a nationwide campaign to identify schools in need of a Lollipopper and have pledged to recruit and deploy 50 in areas of need for the next school year.  The campaign, launched by actor and father-of-two, Robert Webb, will give the public the opportunity to nominate a primary school they feel is in need of a Lollipopper before 50 are selected by representatives from Churchill, road safety charity Brake and leading parent champions PTA UK.
