Parents no longer need to waste time searching through school web pages to find details of their children’s term and holiday dates because the website provides relevant information for every school and college across the UK, which the site visitor can view, download or print.

At 11am on 26th September 2014, school children across the country will collectively take a stand to help eradicate bullying with the launch of First News’ Stamp Out Bullying campaign. This Guinness World Record attempt will see pupils stand up and stamp their feet for 30 seconds to make a noise about the cause and help to raise awareness that more needs to be done to find a nationwide solution.

UK schools Dress Up and Dance to make a difference for Macmillan

Macmillan Cancer Support is excited to announce that their nationwide fundraising initiative, Dress Up and Dance will return to schools and nurseries across the UK on Friday 20th June 2014. The dance extravaganza, which asks children to don their finest dancewear in return for a £2 donation to the charity, was an incredible success in 2013, with over 910 schools raising more than £92,000.

UK children are now working over 54 hours a week at school and on extra-curricular activities

Shattered kids are ‘working’ for 54 hours a week, according to a new study by Haliborange, the UK’s number one range of children’s vitamins.   Researchers found parents are over-timetabling their children with extra-curricular activities in addition to their school commitments.  This means exhausted children are spending seven hours a week more in educational activities than the average adult does working.
